At JET, our LabVIEW Architects work directly with our customers at all phases of the product life cycle to design, develop, document and analyze overall architecture of software and integration that addresses customer needs.

Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborates and confers with customers from strategic accounts in the design process and translates business needs into software solutions.
  • Compares various design options and proposes appropriate solutions based on a strong understanding of the customer’s needs.
  • Provides mentoring and advice to teams facing complex technical issues in the course of project design, development, and integration.
  • Develops and delivers software technical training to support professional development and growth of staff members. Contributes to presentations and proposals during the bid process, including cost and time estimates for implementation. Delivers technical expertise during the software requirements gathering process.
  • Delivers technical expertise and assistance during system integration.
  • Leads projects through the entire development life cycle from concept to release, developing the software architecture and design deliverables.

At JET, our Engineering Lab Technicians work closely with the Project Engineers and Leads to ensure build projects are performed according to specifications, schedules and budget. Also our Lab Technicians may perform customer on-site hardware integration and write software programs required for testing equipment builds.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supports the engineering team by performing design work based on their requirements and specifications, creating layouts and models using Solid Works and Solid Works Electrical.
  • Updates and maintains drawings for the hardware engineering function.
  • Reads blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, or engineering instructions for assembling electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
  • Reviews technical documents to plan work.
  • Generates, reviews, and releases bill-of-materials from a completed model and/or retrieves the existing bill-of-material; for a recurring project and reviews it for accuracy.
  • Identifies parts needed for build projects based on the bill-of-material and works with JET’s Purchasing team to ensure they are ordered correctly, arrive on time as promised and meet the quality specifications.
  • Ensures there is a system which is consistently followed to maintain and organize spare components.
  • Performs cable assembly, module assembly and kitting.
  • Performs customer on-site hardware integration, working with both JET’s Hardware and Software teams and the customer’s project representatives.
  • Meets with test equipment suppliers and establishes test lab needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks CAD modeling and analysis tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assists with new business development by working with the sales team and traveling to new client sites and assist with proposals.
  • Assesses and documents project requirements.
  • Designs and implements test systems and procedures.
  • Specifies systems components or direct modification of equipment to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Performs hardware and software integration linking software to customer needs.
  • Measures the performance of mechanical components, devices and equipment.
  • Performs testing, evaluating and modifications on customer’s equipment to ensure desired or optimal performance Analyzes and interprets data.
  • Maintains and modifies equipment to ensure it is safe, reliable and efficient.
  • Serves as liaison with suppliers to ensure the best quality, price and delivery of parts.
  • May direct the work of other team members with the responsibility for completing a project according to the established schedule and budget requirements while meeting pre-determined milestones for deliverables.
